Green Tea
Green tea is a type of tea that is made from Camellia sinensis leaves and buds that have not undergone the same oxidation process used to make black teas.
Several varieties of green tea exist, which differ based primarily on growing conditions and time of harvest. Green tea will typically hold its flavor for about a year, unlike black tea which will keep its flavor much longer.
Green tea generally contains the most antioxidants and beneficial polyphenols, and is often referred to as the tea with the “health halo”. More evidence is necessary however, to definitively prove the array of health benefits often associated with green tea.
