A fruity semi-sweet pitcher of White Sangria using a simple syrup for the sweetness and your choice of carbonated water or sparkling wine for the bubbly.
2750 ml bottles dry white wineSauvignon Blanc or Pinot Grigio are my favorites
½cuporange liqueurTriple Sec, Cointreau, or Grand Marnier
¼cupbrandyor amber rum
½cupflavored simple syrupI used Cinnamon-Vanilla syrup but Ginger LIme or Strawberry Lavender would be good also
2orangesthinly sliced
2limesthinly sliced
2lemonsthinly sliced
2cupsof something carbonated or sparklingi.e., lemon-lime soda, sparkling water, sparkling wine like Prosecco or Champagne
¾cuploosely packed fresh mint leavesfor garnish
Instructions
Combine all ingredients, except for the fresh mint and the bubbly liquid (lemon-lime soda, champagne or sparkling water or wine) in a large container. Cover and chill 4 hours. Stir in your choice of bubbly liquid just before serving and garnish with mint. Serve over ice, if desired.
